INFORMATION & CHOICES
Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 3, 2026
A visit to scottechengineering.com can remain a reading visit, become a preparation exercise, or lead to a message you choose to send. This notice explains the information involved at each step, including the finance newsletter permissions and the repair, accessory, and 3D-printing tools available through Innovative Engineering.
Who We Are: the operator behind your request
Innovative Engineering is the public brand of INNOVATIVE ENGINEERING 1 LLC, the operator responsible for this website and the personal information described here. Our physical address is 125 N Clark Rd #105, TX — suite/unit, type unconfirmed. Privacy questions and rights requests go to [email protected]; general website and message support goes to [email protected].
While you read and prepare
The hosting infrastructure ordinarily receives the IP address used to connect, requested URL and query parameters, request time, browser and device information, response or error details, and referral information when the browser supplies it. These technical records support delivery, troubleshooting, and protection against abuse. The site does not perform a client-side IP lookup. It requests fonts from Google Fonts; those requests disclose ordinary connection information, such as an IP address and browser headers, to that font service. This is a resource request, not an installed analytics or advertising tracker.
The repair calculator uses your selected model family, issue, and entered quote amount only in the current page to show arithmetic. Accessory selections, the screen-layer slider, map selections, and preparation-checklist ticks likewise update the page in memory. These tools do not send their inputs to our intake or save them to local storage; reloading resets their scripted state, although browser form restoration may restore controls.
The visit planner handles your selected purpose, preferred visit date, and time of day in the page. Preparing a plan creates a link containing these choices in the contact-page URL. Following it sends that URL to hosting infrastructure, can leave it in browser history or logs, and prefills the contact message. The support intake receives the message only when you submit it. Avoid adding sensitive information to a URL or message. No visit is booked by this process.
Browser choices that outlast a page
TRACKING_ENABLED is false. There are no analytics, pixels, advertising trackers, or tracking-cookie libraries installed. The privacy banner offers Essential Only and Accept Preferences; neither starts tracking. It stores only an essential/accepted choice under ie-privacy-choice in local storage, which remains until you change it or clear site data. Open Privacy preferences in any footer to change the choice. No additional preference feature currently starts after acceptance.
Global Privacy Control (GPC) selects Essential Only and disables the broader choice. If optional tracking is introduced later, we will update this notice and the controls before activation, obtain consent where required, and honor applicable GPC and opt-out signals. Today's preference acceptance is not advance permission for undisclosed future tracking.
An optional newsletter invitation may appear after a 21-second delay on the home, repair, accessory, visit, printing, about, and guide pages, once the privacy banner is closed. It links to the subscription page and contains no subscription fields. The invitation does not appear on contact, subscription, legal, or error pages. Dismissal and a successfully received subscription request set minimal session flags, ie-newsletter-dismissed and ie-subscribed, to avoid repeating the invitation during that browser session. These flags are not lead profiles and are not submitted by the forms. Clearing session data or ending the session removes them; blocking storage may make the invitation reappear.
What submitting a form records
- Subscription details: first name, last name, email address, and an optional phone number. A phone number is required only if you select SMS marketing. This finance subscription does not request birth information, financial account details, or payment credentials.
- Your five choices: informational email permission, the optional 3D-printing newsletter topic preference, SMS marketing permission, promotional email permission, and acknowledgment of the legal notices. We record each actual selection, its exact wording, the consent-text version, page URL, domain, source, and submission timestamp. Informational permission does not authorize promotional email; the topic preference does not add a contact channel.
- Support correspondence: full name, reply email, message, source, timestamp, and domain. A planner request may include its topic, preferred date, and time in the message. Sending support correspondence does not enroll you in a newsletter.
- Delivery and compliance: our intake and messaging providers may maintain delivery, error, reply, unsubscribe, STOP, and consent records needed to administer your request. Webhook infrastructure ordinarily receives connection and request metadata in addition to the submitted fields.
Both forms send their payload to our lead and support intake hosted at n8n.techspikeops.com. There is no registration or login service on this website, and submitting a form does not create an account. Please leave passwords, verification codes, confidential files, and payment information out of support messages.
The work these records support
We use submitted details to deliver the requested informational newsletter, apply your topic selection, answer questions, and review visit requests. Separate SMS and promotional-email permissions determine whether those marketing channels may be used. Consent and suppression records let us demonstrate permissions and prevent renewed contact after withdrawal.
Technical records support reliable hosting, error investigation, fraud and abuse prevention, and security. Records may also be used to comply with legal obligations, handle privacy requests, and establish or defend legal claims. Where a legal basis is required, we rely on consent for optional communications, steps needed to fulfill your requested service, applicable legal obligations, and legitimate operational interests in security and administration, subject to your rights. We do not turn a support request into marketing permission.
Who can receive the records
Access is limited to personnel who need information for the purposes above and service providers supporting hosting, font delivery, webhook intake, secure storage, email or SMS delivery, support, and compliance. Providers receive the categories necessary for their tasks: hosts receive technical requests; intake and support providers receive submitted details; communication providers receive contact details, relevant preferences, and delivery or permission records. They are expected to handle information for the instructed service and protect it.
We may disclose necessary information in response to valid legal process, to meet legal obligations, to investigate misuse, to protect people or systems, or to establish or defend rights. Legal or professional advisers may receive information needed for those tasks under applicable confidentiality duties. A business transfer may involve necessary non-SMS records under protections consistent with this notice and any notice or consent required by law. No transfer or general sharing provision expands the SMS restrictions below. We do not sell personal data or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
SMS privacy: a separate restriction
Mobile information, opt-in data, and consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes and will not be sold. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the text message service.
Keeping evidence and retiring other records
Subscription information remains while needed to provide the selected communications. Support messages and related technical records are retained only for the period reasonably needed to resolve the request, operate and secure the service, and meet legal duties. The appropriate period depends on the request's status, security needs, provider retention settings, and applicable limitation periods; this site does not claim a fixed infrastructure-log deletion schedule.
SMS opt-in and opt-out evidence is retained for at least four years after the relevant consent or withdrawal event. Suppression and STOP records are retained for at least ten years, or as legally required, to continue honoring withdrawals. A deletion request may therefore leave a restricted compliance record rather than restore eligibility for contact. Legal holds can extend retention where necessary. When other records no longer serve a required purpose, we delete or de-identify them; backup copies may persist through their normal restricted-access rotation.
California and U.S. privacy requests — Do Not Sell or Share
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), to know or access the categories and specific information held about them, its sources, purposes, and recipients; obtain a portable copy; correct inaccuracies; request deletion; and opt out of sale or sharing. Where applicable, they may limit use or disclosure of sensitive personal information. We do not request sensitive financial information or use it to infer characteristics.
Residents of Texas and other U.S. states may have applicable rights to confirm processing, access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or certain profiling that produces legally significant effects. We do not perform such profiling or targeted advertising. Rights and exceptions depend on the law that applies; we provide these request channels without requiring an account.
Email [email protected], or mail a request to 125 N Clark Rd #105, TX — suite/unit, type unconfirmed, describing the right you wish to exercise and the email address associated with your interaction. We may ask for information proportionate to the risk, such as confirmation through that address or details of an earlier request, to verify identity. Do not send identity documents or sensitive numbers unless a secure and necessary verification method has first been agreed. Opt-out preference signals do not require identity verification.
An authorized agent may make a request with evidence of permission; we may ask you to confirm that authority and verify your identity where allowed. We recognize GPC as an applicable opt-out signal and apply Essential Only as described above. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights. Where an appeal is available, reply to a decision at [email protected] with “Privacy appeal” and the reason for review. We will explain our decision within the applicable legal timeframe and, if an appeal is denied, explain how to raise a complaint with the relevant state authority. Texas residents may complain to the Texas Attorney General.
Ending messages and keeping support available
Use an email's unsubscribe link to stop that email program, or ask [email protected] to withdraw one or all email permissions. Reply STOP to a program text to unsubscribe from SMS; HELP requests assistance. You can also revoke consent by a reasonable alternative, including an email identifying the enrolled number. Withdrawal does not require a purchase or an explanation. Necessary responses to your own support or privacy request may still be sent, and required suppression evidence remains.
Security and the adult audience
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to limit access, protect transmission, and manage operational risk. No website, network, or storage method can guarantee complete security. If you suspect that a message or submission has exposed information, contact [email protected] so it can be investigated.
The site and messaging programs are for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If a child's information has been submitted, tell the privacy contact so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate, subject to legally necessary records.
Notice changes and where to write
Changes to tools, providers, or processing may require an updated notice. We will publish revisions here with a new Last Updated date and provide additional notice or request consent when required. A revised notice does not erase an earlier withdrawal.
For access, deletion, an appeal, or a question about this notice, write to [email protected]. For a delivery problem or other website support, use [email protected]. Postal correspondence for Innovative Engineering may be addressed to INNOVATIVE ENGINEERING 1 LLC, 125 N Clark Rd #105, TX — suite/unit, type unconfirmed; identify whether it concerns privacy or support so it reaches the appropriate handling process.
